Italy Motorcycle Tour: Italy and MotoGp, 12 days – Misano edition

10 full days on the go, a motorbike tourism trip between motors and the Renaissance through Tuscany, Emilia Romagna, Umbria and Lazio

One of our most comprehensive tours because in addition to motorcycle tourism it is dedicated to the passion for motors in general. The nature and art cities of Tuscany, Emilia Romagna, Marches and Umbria are the setting for this tour with a motorcycling soul that culminates with the MotoGP, while the various museums Ferrari, Lamborghini, Ducati, Marco Simoncelli, Benelli… are certainly not less. Not to mention the 14 Unesco sites that we’ll touch on during this motorcycle holiday departing from amazing Rome.

A first part in Lazio and then in no time we already are in Tuscany, among its delightful rolling hills, cypress-lined roads and fascinating landscapes dotted with medieval villages and castles. And this is just the first day of our motorcycle tour, followed by more of Tuscany for 3 days, a good slice of the Motor Valley and Emilia, the beaches of Romagna, the ancient Republic of San Marino, the fortified cities of the Marches and the beautiful forests of Umbria.

Add to this a full  immersion in the Italian culture and passion for all types of motors, riding on the Italian motorcyclists’ favorite roads and stopping in our most beloved bars and rest points, crowned by an aperitif in Valentino Rossi’s realm, in Tavullia … there is no better way to experience the passion for wheels, Italy and MotoGp … . Nothing is left to chance on this 12-day holiday of motorcycle touring, where each day is profoundly different from the next though all hinged on the pleasure of driving and the discovery of central Italy.

You will have the opportunity to attend the MotoGP on your days off, specifically the Grand Prix of the Republic of San Marino and the Riviera of Romagna on the Misano World Circuit dedicated to Marco Simoncelli.

Main technical characteristics of this exclusive motorcycle tour

This motorcycle tour is hinged on the Italian MotoGps and the land of motors, therefore it takes place in September for the Grand Prix of the Republic of San Marino in Misano.

The tour and the covered area
A motorcycle tour well-balanced between the world of motors and the discovery of the art and history of the important regions of central Italy. Our playground encompasses from the history of ancient Rome to the Renaissance in Tuscany, from the MotoGp to the Motor Valley with visits of factories and museums such as Ferrari and Ducati, riding over and over again on the exhilarating,  winding roads of the Apennine mountains.

Unesco sites along the way
In this particularly captivating  motorcycle tour we will discover the best of northern central Italy also through the 14 World Heritage Sites that we’ll visit, which are: Assisi, Bologna, Florence, Lucca, Modena, Pisa, Pienza, Rome, Republic of San Marino, San Gimignano, Siena, Tivoli, Urbino and the Val d’Orcia

Climate and clothing
For this motorcycle holiday, the generally dry and sunny climate requires comfortable and cool technical clothing (daily temperature between 18°c° and 32°c). A swimsuit and towel, motorcycle and comfortable “normal” shoes, as well as cool and comfortable technical clothing plus a cable with padlock to tie helmet and jacket to the motorcycle are the main things you need to be able to enjoy and experience this motorcycle holiday to the fullest.

A typical day ride
A typical daily ride is between 140-260 km (90-165 mi). The motorcycle tour starts at 9.00 am and includes a stop every hour with activities, always optional, or just for the pleasure. Each day ends with fueling and arrival at the hotel around 4.30/5.00 pm, to have enough time for self-contained sightseeing or a relaxing poolside aperitif.

Motorcycle rental
For this motorcycle holiday you can choose here from a large variety of Italian Ducati, Aprilia, Guzzi,  or BMW, Harley Davidson, Kawasaki… models for rent. First come, first served.

Day 03 160 km Val d'Orcia - Florence

An absolutely awe-inspiring day! Today's tour is entirely set in the beautiful rolling valleys and hills of Tuscany. Then we change the tune with a visit to the Pavarotti museum and the oldest balsamic vinegar factory in the world before reaching Modena (Unesco site). The dinner in town will be the perfect opportunity for a stroll through the charming historic center of Modena.
