Italy Motorcycle Tour: World Ducati Week and Dolomites, 9 days

7 full days on the go, touring on your motorcycle through Alps and Dolomites, the WDW Ducati fans’ party and all news from Ducati

A dream for Ducatisti all around the world. A spectacular motorcycle tour through the Alps, starting from Lake Como, passing through the mythical Stelvio Pass and then continuing in the splendid scenery of the Dolomites through its most exciting and legendary passes, such as the Sella, the Falzarego, the Giau… all the way to Lake Garda. Further down, finally, the unmissable visit of the Ducati museum in Borgo Panigale and it’s already time to hit the track in Misano to get into the swing of things for World Ducati Week and celebrate, together with Ducati fans from all over the world, this iconic Italian brand.

An unmissable motorcycle holiday for every “Ducatista” who wants to experience the Ducati spirit and philosophy firsthand! There will be 2 days of celebration on the Marco Simoncelli World Circuit in Misano with all the appointments of the international World Ducati Week event, where you can meet Ducati riders, try new models and admire vintage and modified motorcycles. You can enjoy all the fun of the Adriatic Riviera, and take small tours of the area amid the roar of thousands of Ducati motorcycles.

Visit Tavullia and the Valentino Rossi fan club, as well as the museum dedicated to Marco Simoncelli are, in our opinion, mandatory stops on this trip to the land of Italy’s most famous motorcycle manufacturers and racers. To crown this week of roaring engines with a note of poetry, a fascinating evening/night in Florence and some spectacular Apennine passes are ours to enjoy on the way back to Milan of this fantastic motorcycle tour.

Main technical characteristics of this exclusive motorcycle tour

This motorcycle tour focusing on the world of Ducati and the Dolomites takes place, every two years, in July during the World Ducati Week at the Marco Simoncelli circuit in Misano.

The tour and the covered area
This is a motorcycle holiday oriented mainly on the pleasure of riding and on the world of motors. Both a  tour to celebrate the spectacular nature in the fascinating sceneries of the Alps and Dolomites, interspersed with characterful visits such as the Ducati and Ferrari museums and factories, and the joyous celebration of the most famous event that the famous motorcycle manufacturer from Bologna dedicates to its fans.

Unesco sites along the way
Along the route of our motorcycle tour we will discover 5 World Heritage Sites which are: Bologna, the Dolomites, Florence, Modena, and the Republic of San Marino.

Climate and clothing
The generally dry and sunny weather in July requires comfortable and cool technical clothing (daily temperature may vary between 8°C and 32°C). Comfortable “normal” shoes, beside the  and a cable with padlock to tie helmet and jacket to the motorcycle are the main things you need to be able to enjoy the visits along the route to the fullest. In addition we recommend a swimsuit and a towel in your luggage, as well as some heavy clothing and a complete rain gear that might turn necessary on roads from 0 to 2750 meters above sea level.

A typical day ride
Typically, a daily motorcycle tour is 220-345 km (137-215 miles). The motorcycle tour starts at 9.00 am and includes a stop every hour with activities, always optional, or just for pleasure. The day ends with refueling and arrival at the hotel around 4.30/5.00 pm,  to have enough time for self-contained sightseeing or a relaxing poolside aperitif.

Guided motorcycle tour of northern lakes, Alps and Dolomites, package price
Starting from 2.925 euros in a shared double room with accommodation in 3 and 4-star charming and classy hotels in central / panoramic locations

Motorcycle rental
For this motorcycle holiday you can choose here from a large variety of Italian Ducati, Aprilia, Guzzi,  or BMW, Harley Davidson, Kawasaki… models for rent. First come, first served.
