Italy On Motorbike

Bike rental

Italy On Motorbike is not a bike rental company and has no proper fleet. Rental bike sourcing is an additional service offered and promoted by us as a complement to our tours, to grant our clients a full turnkey service where we take care of every aspect of their motorcycling holiday in Italy, if this is their desire.

Therefore bike rental is autonomously provided by regular and licensed rental companies for which we are an external partner, and is governed by a separate, direct contract between the traveler and the rental company.
Italy On Motorbike shall assume no liability for the transaction, cancellation and execution of the service. Sourcing motorcycles for rent is a service limited to our own clientele.

Working in partnership with all the leading motorcycle rental agencies in Italy allows us to offer our customers an exceptional service, that is, the widest possible choice of brands (Ducati, BMW, Moto Guzzi, Harley Davidson, etc…) and models in various locations throughout the country!

Indeed, according to rental place – since the range available obviously depends on the single rental companies – the most popular models you will find for hire are:

  • Ducati, obviously! Multistrada 950, Multistrada 1260, Hypermotard, Panigale V4, Monster, Scrambler, Diavel, among others …
  • Other Italian brands such as Moto Guzzi: V85TT, V100 Mandello. And Aprilia, MV Agusta, Morini …
  • The most diffused make is undoubtedly BMW. It is quite easy to find BMW 1250GS and BMW 850GS all around Italy, together with many other models such as R1200, 750GS, 900, 1000, etc …
  • Gaining momentum among the foreign bikes is the US Harley Davidson with sportier motorcycles such as the Pan America up to the big iconic Electra Glide, Street Glide and Road Glide, and the Ultra Limited, to name a few …
  • Several companies offer Japanese motorcycles with some models from Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki and Yamaha, or from other countries such as Triumph and KTM, …
  • Less powerful bikes suitable for novice or intermediate license holders such as the BMW G310, Honda CB500X or Benelli TRK 5002 can also be found, again depending on location
  • And then scooters ! Urbanl ones with 50 and 125 cc for short distances, that can be driven with a car license, but also the big ones that have nothing to envy to a motorcycle, such as BMW C650 and Yamaha Tmax or Honda Forza 750 that are definitely welcome on our premium guided tours.

The named models are a non-exhaustive list  of the most popular  motorcycles available for rent in Italy proposed by our major suppliers all over the territory and are therefore not all available everywhere. Most of them are available in Milan and Rome, some can be rented in various other locations throughout Italy, but be aware that, with a few exceptions, rental bikes in Italy have to be dropped off in the same place where they were picked up from.

Please aks us for a specific quote by sending an email to office@italyonmotorbike.com  with the following data: pick-up place, day and time – drop-off place, day and time – preferred models (indicate at least 3 choices) and quantities – estimated mileage – any specific request.

Important information:

  • To hire a bike from one of our partners, the customer shall hold a valid driver’s license for the rented vehicle and be at least 21 years old (25 for some models). Travelers from non-Schengen countries are usually not allowed to tour in Italy with just their national driver’s license and will therefore need to also have an International Driver’s License issued by their national authorities for driver’s licenses
  • Various other accessories are available for hire besides the bike, such as helmets, GPS, protective gear, rain suits, gloves, etc …
